There is a wide range of accommodation on offer in Tofo from rustic beach chalets to luxury three bedroom beach houses and a small and comfortable hotel. The two beaches are Tofo, the main beach, and Tofinho Beach (or Little Tofo) that is a little quieter than Tofo Beach. Most of the accommodation is based either on the beach front or just off the beach front in both Tofo and Tofinho so it is usually only one or two minutes walk from your accommodation to get to the sand and surf.

Baia Sonâmbula is a high quality guest house located only a stone’s throw from the beach front at Tofo. The guest house has three beautiful en-suite bungalows with private verandas and two en-suite rooms located in the main part of the guest house. All the rooms are stylishly decorated and have king size beds that can be divided into two single beds, plus purified water, ceiling fan, mosquito nets and safe. The guest house has two spacious terraces with excellent sea views over Tofo Beach and a lounge area to relax in. Breakfast is included in the rate of your stay and is served at the guest house. For lunch and dinner, the guest house is linked with restaurant Casa de Comer, located 5 minutes walk along the beach.

Casa John consists of seven luxury houses that sleep between four to eight people each. They are located in Tofinho, at the furthest point (about 30 minute walk from Tofo) with incredible views over the ocean and down the coastline. They are fully furnished and fully equipped.

Casa Amarela (sleeps eight) has two separate double rooms with en-suite bathroom, connected to the main house by wooden walkways. The main house consists of two additional double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, lounge/kitchen and large veranda.

Casa John (6 houses) are beautifully laid out with large lounge/kitchen area, veranda, two or three bedrooms and both separate and en-suite bathrooms.

Cafe No Mar is located close to the headland at Tofinho with great sea views and two minutes walk from the best surf beach. The accommodation consists of five rooms each with en-suite bathroom. The rooms are of a very high standard. Four of the rooms have double beds and the fifth has twin beds. Each room has a private veranda which is screened from neighbouring guests and all face the ocean. Private walled gardens surround the rooms and there is off-road parking and 24 hour security. The rooms are stylishly decorated in an artistic manner with comfort in mind - all rooms are provided with fans and night gown, high quality linen and fresh towels daily. Continental breakfast is included in your room rate. The restaurant is open for pre-bookings only and can cater for groups of up to 18. Café No Mar provide daily transfers to and from Tofo Beach at 7am and 4pm for activities such as diving, horse riding etc.

Located in the heart of Tofo, only a few steps away from the sand at Tofo Beach and close to all amenities and activities is Mundos, accommodation and restaurant. Mundos accommodation consists of 10 air-conditioned rooms with very nice en-suite bathroom with hot water shower. The rooms are pleasantly decorated with comfort in mind and are situated in a cool courtyard shaded by large amendoas trees. Each room can be organised with either double or twin beds or double bed plus twin bed for those with children. All have mosquito nets. The Mundos restaurant is next door for breakfast, lunch, dinner and everything in-between!

Dunes Paradise is a complex of wooden houses, beautifully built, high up on the dunes behind Tofo Beach, only two minutes walk from Tofo beach-front. They are reached by a series of steps and walk-ways and all have stunning views over the dunes and the ocean. Each house has either two, three or four bedrooms in a combination of double and twin rooms, one or two bathrooms, kitchen/lounge and private veranda and is fully equipped and serviced daily. There is parking at the bottom of the steps.

No bar or restaurant, self-catering only.

Tofo Beach Cottages are seven differently designed houses that sleep from four to eight people each, in a combination of twin and double rooms and some with bunk beds for children. All are fully equipped and serviced. Four of the houses are situated side by side up on the dunes in Tofinho with stunning views overlooking beautiful Tofinho Beach (about 15 minutes walk from Tofo Beach). The fifth and sixth are cool and comfortable reed houses, again fully equipped and serviced, and are situated a little further along Tofinho Beach, just off the beach front and slightly closer to Tofo Beach. The last and smallest house is situated right on the beach front at Tofo with two bedrooms, small bathroom, kitchen and dining room.

Nordin’s Lodge is situated right on the beach at Tofo, five minutes walk from Tofo village. Surrounded by coconut palms and fir trees, it offers comfortable chalets and half-reed casitas. The chalets have two double rooms which can be rented separately, each room with private entrance and en-suite bathroom, fridge and tea/coffee making facilities and shared veranda. The half-reed casitas have en-suite bathroom, fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. All chalets and casitas are right on the beach front – just step straight out onto the sand.

Mango Beach is nestled behind the main beach dune in a valley full of coconut palms about 10 minutes drive from Tofo village, on Tofo Beach heading towards Barra Beach. The restaurant/bar is at the top of the main beach dune and has stunning views over the ocean on one side and over the dunes and valleys (a beautiful sunset view) on the other side. The accommodation consists of six-sleeper self-catering chalets with kitchen and bathroom, four-sleeper cabanas with shared ablutions and kitchen area and two-sleeper bush huts also with shared ablutions and kitchen area. The chalets, cabanas and huts all have private verandas. Mango Beach is in a beautiful, quiet location surrounded by nature - a place for a real get-away-from-it-all holiday.

Aquatico Lodge is located about 5 minutes drive from Tofo village, on Tofo Beach heading towards Barra Beach. The lodge consists of very nice A-frame double storey chalets with kitchen, bathroom and lounge downstairs and space for two to sleep in single beds, and another bedroom with double bed upstairs. Each chalet has its own private barbeque area and the chalets are nicely spaced so you aren't too close to your neighbours! The beach is two minutes walk away through the dunes. The lodge is surrounded by natural bush and palms and has a great feeling of space. The restaurant and bar are located near to the reception area with a great view over the dunes to the ocean.

Hotel Tofo Mar is situated in one of the best spots on the beach at Tofo with unobstructed views of the bay. There is a beach-front restaurant with large outside veranda serving Portuguese and Mozambican dishes and a fully licensed bar. The air-conditioned rooms are smart, clean and comfortable with en-suite bathroom, some with a bath (and a view of the beach) and others with a shower. All the rooms are serviced daily. Choose from twin room (two single beds), double room (one double bed) or suite (double bed and extra single bed).

Albatroz Holiday Cottages are situated on the top of the dunes overlooking Tofo Bay, two minutes walk down steps leading to the beach front. The cottages are all self-catering, fully serviced (including daily ice and charcoal, laundry service, etc.) and sleep either four, six or eight people. Each house has either one or two bathrooms, kitchen/lounge and private veranda with barbeque. The resort has a very nice restaurant and bar overlooking the pool area, with some great views over Tofo Beach.

Bela Vista Lodge is based at Barra Beach, on the road to the beach and on a sloping dune with views over the ocean and sunset views of the beautiful lagoon. The accommodation at Bela Vista Lodge currently consists of five luxury houses, one 3-bedroom and four 4-bedroom, with more planned in the near future. The houses are open-plan, spacious and airy and have been designed with the surrounding environment in mind. The split level decks and lounges provide various comfortable outside areas to relax, with hammocks and cushions everywhere. There is a spacious braai deck with plenty of room for friends and family, plus a fully equipped kitchen. The two double bedrooms downstairs share a sumptuous bathroom with sunken bath and both open out directly onto the front and back decks through glass doors. Upstairs is another comfortable deck with great sea and lagoon views leading to an inside lounge and two additional bedrooms, each with two single daybeds and shared en-suite bathroom. The houses are luxuriously appointed with high quality percale linen, quality crockery and kitchen ware, fans in all rooms and hammocks. The houses are serviced daily.
